In 1996, Santel, once a part of a national chain, was joined with three prominent employees from RSE Telecom (Kevin Kondo, Chris Hunger, and Richard Wong). Santel purchased the assets and client base from Pacific Digital Communications in 1998, and then from Complete Technical Services in 2004 during a period of expansion.
In 2005, owner Gary Blagborne retired and sold his interest in Santel to Kevin Kondo, who then became President and General Manager. Santel now sells and installs NEC phone systems and its corresponding Univerge Blue platform to other local businesses.
In 2017, 2018, and 2020, Santel has been listed in Business In Vancouver's top 20 Biggest Communication Technology Firms in BC.

As a local business based out of Richmond, B.C., we try to support our local community as much as possible. Over the years, we have been actively involved with a variety of different charities across the Lower Mainland such as the Variety Show of Hearts Children's Charity, The Salvation Army, and B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation.
